Question about the invitations...

When the movie starts they show everybody opening the box on the computer to reveal their invitations, which seems alright, when Allison opens hers and discovers it says no guests Derek is able to get right on and get his own invite, which I don't think would actually work.

For one he never logs into a different account, and since he used Allisons computer his IP address would show up as the same as hers whether or not he is logged into his own account or not. Seems pretty sloppy to me and also something that the people responsible for the website and party itself would check for to make sure nobody cheats.

I think that the invites could have been handled alot better, all they have to do is print them straight from the computer, what's to stop somebody from printing out dozens of them and passing them out? Hardly a good way to keep this supposedly "secret" party an actual secret. Of all the different plot holes in this I think this one bugs me the most, maybe it is just because Im a bit of a computer nerd, but I hate how Hollywood seems to know nothing about how computers or the internet actually work.

Then ask yourself how The Host, a greiving father whose son relativly recently died, who barely knows Hellraiser, is able to arrnage it so that a massive HUGELY global online game (so we're told) has, as a reward, an invite to HIS party. As an expert on computing, answer me this... If I want revenge on some kids, can I go posts invites on World of Warcraft? ;)

I always thought that the father was the inventor/creator of the game, I figured he was gone all the time because he had some all important Hellworld business to take care of or something. Lol. Shows how much I pay attention.

That might have amde the slightest bit of sense... but I doubt it. Either way, certainly there's no indication of it and the idea at least is he's just using it and had no real involvement. I don't know... I wouldn't spend too much time thinking about it... :p

during the "reveal" scene where he tells the blonde how he did everything, he tells that nerdy kid how much help he was, because the nerdy kid thought he had been chatting/cybering with a hot little number into the hellworld videogames, but it was in fact lance henriksen, the angry dad,
angry dad culled all his knowledge and infos from the nerdy kid by pretending to be a sweet piece of ass through the magical internet

i know, it makes about as much sense as dimension films permitting rick bota to shoot not one, not two, but THREE hellraiser sequels,
it'll make your head explode

This is a big stretch, but if this guy had enough money, he might of been able to find one of the programmers, or even pay a hacker to do it. As far as the other guy, it is possible he signed into his account, and since the dad wanted them all he would let him think he was getting away with it.

Thats what I assumed too, but it really doesnt make any sense either. If he was out for revenge because his son died playing a game that he designed himself, why would he go after some random kids that his son played with? He could have just deleted his sons account if it was that big of a problem.
