Can't believe how far this series has fallen. You know it's bad when these Bota films make Hell On Earth look good.

After Hellbound, all these movies are terrible.

Seriously, I don't understand why anybody would give this movie more than zero stars. Not just bad for a Hellraiser sequel, but just a bad movie in general. Lame dialogue, vapid heroine, mopey 'hero', utter waste of Pinhead AND Henriksen, generic music, outdated technology, even for 2oo5, plus why did nobody have their skin torn off with hooks? Bota doesn't know how the 'Lamont' Configuration even works, let alone how it's pronounced... You press the button, the top splits into that weird arrow thing, then goes back in, then you do the clockwise circle on the top, box lifts up and moves into the star shape, then you push it back down, then your skin gets torn off by interdimensional sex demons. Not that hard. Every time the box does its thing by itself, I get more and more angry. Has this guy ever seen a Hellraiser movie? Someone should flog this dude. Utter contempt for his source material.

To be honest I liked this, as well as "deader" and "Hellseeker" but I would have rated them much higher if they simply didn't have pinhead artificially inserted into the story here and there, more as a narrator than a villain as well as the Lament Configuration simply being a meaningless prop.
It's almost as if these films were made and then they slapped Pinhead and the Lament Configuration into them just so they could sell them as Hellraiser sequels.
I watched the first three films when they came out and honestly never realized there were more than three until they came onto netflix. I almost wish I hadn't known.
