Emma/KC/John/Jason. ...whereabouts

Now addicted to Mile High on BBCA, I am confused when I caught the last eps. What has happened to the cast? I understood that characters left and were only there for one season, but could someone explain:
1. Understood Emma got fired for her altercation w/ Janis; Janis was fired I thought too and was heading out of Fresh, but...
2. Was there a word on what happened to K.C.?
3. Was there a word on what happened to Jason?
4. Where's John?
5. Was there an "entrance storyline" for Jack and his sister Poppy,
because I didn't see her until she rescued a drowning Marco?

Understood that characters come/go, but I hate it when things happen without any explanation.

I'm confused too....are we in the states missing an episode? Or did they just change things around between seasons or something? I understood KC left but there are gaps that aren't making any sense

I think the ending was very rushed and so we didn't find out what happened to a lot of the characters. The ratings weren't what they had hoped (mainly due to Sky shifting the schedules about all the time). However, it did explain what happened to Lehann, Will and Janice who were the main characters from the very beginning.

1. Not too sure about Janis but I don't think she ever got sacked or threatened to be sacked.
2. K.C. got financially desperate and went into prostitution, as for her job with Fresh she stole all the money from the plane's drinks/duty free trolley and did a runner when the plane landed (in Alicante I think it was, leaving her UK debt behind), you can only assume she continued to be a hooker over there. But yeah it was a poor way to end such an important character's story.
3. At the end of season 1 Lehann, Jason, Marco and Will are outside MacMillan's office waiting to be disciplined for what happened on the previous flight (Will giving Marco a cake with weed in it which he took onboard, Lehann accidentally getting stoned, Jason taking a lizard on the flight), so you can only assume Jason got sacked, maybe they made an example out of him so they didn't have to sack them all. Again, a poor ending for a great character and it's weird he isn't even mentioned in season 2!
4. John went to take a pilot job in New Zealand, in the season 1 finale he asked Lehann and her family to move out with him so they could start over, Lehann refused.
5. No, Jack and Poppy were pretty much thrown straight into the start of season 2 with no backstory.

Seen this years ago on Sky1 but recently got the DVD to rewatch it, great series!
