The true killer is him *spoiler.... obviously*

I wonder if anyone share similar opinion with me

the definite clues were :

1. the culprit's hands are smooth like a girl
field workers are automatically out, including factory workers and mechanics

2. no pubic hairs were found
no matter how careful someone, cleaning up after rape mess in a rainy night is impossible to recover all pubic hairs, meaning that the stupid cop's deduction was right that he is hairless down there, but we have no way to check so it's useless

3. the culprit managed to always find pretty girl alone in the dark rainy night
is doing something like that easy? well the first 3 victims wore read, it's true that red stand out in the dark, but to always find delicious targets means that he is a local who knows villager's habit, the rest of the victims ain't wearing red to boot

4. retard's confession that saying the culprit threw him into fire when they were little also supports the notion that the culprit is local

5. the final scene which took place 17 years later, the girl said to the ex-detective that the man who supposedly culprit is plain, ordinary. This means that during the incidents 17 years ago, the man was quite young that after 17 years he can still be called ordinary, instead of old, this killed the possibility that the culprit is the pervert who jerked off to underwears

so.... based on that.. I announce the true killer is!!!!!!

the guy in the pharmacy
he was shown as the last person who encountered the supposed to be the last victim (the stupid detective's girlfriend) before the culprit switch target to the schoolgirl

considering his work, his hands most likely smooth, he is a local and quite young. How someone can find his intended target in a dark rainy night? it's easy if they were customers of your store, you just have to stalk them after they leave from your store as in the case of the idiot detective's girlfriend

about the DNA, it might've been his or someone else's planted by him, by his line of work there's many ways to obtain semen

as for why park hyun-gyu the main suspect is not the true killer is simply because I don't believe a culprit is someone who wrote his name and address in a letter which may as well be anonymous, they're just letters to request song, just put random name and address there if he were the true killer

reply

When the siren goes off and the defense drill begins there is a shot of the pharmacist turning off the lights in the pharmacy. This is after the school girl has been attacked, but before the attack is over, disproving your theory.

reply

Not bad but the girl would say its the village pharmacist

reply

The pharmacist. Riiiiiiiiiight (backing slowly out of room).

Everything that you see, I owe to spaghetti.

reply

that scene only there to confuse the viewer

because we don't really know whether that is the correct sequence

reply

You do know this wasn't an actual whodunnit work of fiction right?

reply

haha :D I know

but maybe he is the real killer as well in real life :D

reply

Right, because in real life police detectives investigate their own serial killings. DUN DUN DUN!

reply

it is PARK HYUN GYU...watch it in slow-mo at 48:23 min...he attacks the girl in front of the factory...

reply

Even if you put the effort of mentioning the word "spoiler", I guess it would have more sense if you put it in the beginning of the title... and explaining the actual spoiler within the thread.

It´s not hard to see that saying spoiler AFTER the spoiler, it's the same as nothing.

It was obviously the Shaman who tells fortunes. She tried to mislead him so she can continue with her grotesque fetishes. She looks plain and ordinary because Shaman can shape-shift. I know, I seen it.

reply

You're so wrong! i can't explain how don't you understand. Look, based on your clues: 1 the bad cop (Roe-ha Kim) works in a office! in the police station. 2, Roe-ha Kim shows his leg to de stupid cop to show his wound and it is all shaved. 3 Roe-ha Kim has lived in the town all his live, so, he know every girl. 4, when the retarded boy is near to Roe-ha Kim he always looses control because he is afraid. 5, Roe-ha Kim is kind of young in the begining of the story. and 6, and this is an extra, in the interrogation room, when the song starts, is Roe-ha Kim who loose control and not the accused.

I Kinda got the impression Seo Tae-Yoon might be the killer and was trying to pin it on someone else.

If you are trying to guess who is the killer that means you understood nothing about the film.

This film is not a "find the murderer" quizz, it's just about real life. Sometimes crimes are not resolved, sometimes nobody knows for certain who did it. Pople who watch this film is supposed to go with the same as the police: nothing but the uncertainty.

It's hard to admit but sometimes it's like that. And this one is the greatest thing about this film.

reply

I also think the murderer isn't the detectives. The little girl says murderer looked just ordinary and the detictives are far from looking ordinary

reply

why not just get the little girl at the end to watch pictures of all suspects and point out the killer

reply

This movie is based on real life event. So probably the ending scene in the movie did not really occur in real life, correct me if I'm wrong. Even if it did occur, it's quite impossible for the girl to point out the killer from thousands of pictures of the suspects. The number of suspects identified are beyond 20,000. And there is also a probability that the real killer has not even been named as a suspect in the first place.
