Kwang-ho's Death

Excellent movie overall, but I was a little surprised that they didn't address Kwang-ho's death after being hit by the train. There were several witnesses that saw detective Park chase after him, and he was covered in Kwang-ho's blood at the scene. The next scene shows him at home with his girlfriend washing the blood out of his clothes, so that makes it seem like he ran home right away. But afterwards there was no interrogation. no funeral, no scene of his dad freaking out at the police for getting his son killed.

Did anyone else find it strange that the plot seemingly ignored his death? Maybe the movie was showing how people get up in arms when pretty girls are murdered but nobody really cares if a semi-retarded guy gets killed. Kind of harsh, really.

P.S. Am I the only person who thought it was humorous that Kwang-ho said "If I climb down you'll kill me!" and both detectives are like "No you can trust us." Then he climbs down and gets killed a few minutes later. Some twisted humor right there.

I didn't mind it. It felt like something they didn't need to show, like the guy with the amputated leg in crutches.

He did seem anxious about the bloody clothes but I assumed that people would buy his explanation about the train. Or maybe you're right and they didn't care about the retarded kid, he did mention that his father was the one who burned him just before he's on the tracks.
