Anyone know why the cast is wearing lipstick in the special features? Is it to reduce smacking sounds when they are talking or something?

that was for the motion capturing of the mouths' movement or something like that. I remember NL with that nice orange colour on his lips. It's not his colour, though.

Just so you know, the reason they all wore the lipstick was so that they could sell that lipstick on Ebay after the cast had used it. Wouldn't you wanna buy lipstick that had been used by the whole cast of the x files?

ACtually it was used to do the subtitles, I hope that the ebay thing was a joke.. was it not?
