does anyone know what to do when you get out of the diner after you get the keys? I'm stuck there. someone help me please?

after you leave the diner and you are walking around, go up to the dumpster and push it aside. I'm pretty sure you walk up to it, an 'X' shows up, and you hold the X button down to push it aside, and then you walk through the gap in the fence towards the gas station.
