He is REALLY hot - and a fine actor too. I would love to see him become a huge international star, but please don't let Hollywood ruin him! If they bring him over here, they will just put him in some dumb-ass action movie that will totally waste his talent. It seems to happen time and again with foreign actors, no matter how good they start out. So far he's made smart choices, though, and I'm quite pleased to see how willing he is to do nude scenes.

Thank you for the link - loved the picture! I remember a similar picture of John Lennon with Yoko Ono. It looks like an homage to it, but I'm afraid I don't quite get the point. Doesn't stop me from being terribly jealous of the director, Eytan Fox, lol!

I will have to try and find "Late Marriage". I do remember when it came out, seeing the ad and reading some reviews and thinking to myself how handsome the star looked in the ad. But "Walk on Water" is the first movie of Lior's I've actually seen. He certainly does have star quality and charisma - its the eyes that really do it for me.

I agree with you that foreign actors are refreshingly uninhibited when it comes to sexual scenes compared to their uptight American counterparts, as Lior and Ewen MacGregor plus dozens of other lesser-known European actors have shown. A nude scene featuring a known American actor has become exceedingly rare nowadays, but I don't know whether to blame the actors or the studios, which seem so conservative anymore compared to the more freewheeling decades past. Also, foreign actors don't seem to be as horror-stricken to play roles which have a gay context as American actors are. Why is it we still seem like smirking teenagers in comparison to foreign countries in our treatment of sexuality?
