Did anyone else notice that the Land Rover they used to drive Axel and Pia around had the "L" missing. It was a AND ROVER. I've never heard of this before. Did they offer Land Rover a deal to use their car in the movie, they declined, and subsequently snubbed them?

Yeah, I noticed that too! I don't know if this is the real reason, but in Israel things like that are ALWAYS getting stolen from cars. The letters, the decals- not to mention the cars themselves! Our old car was a Honda and a few months after we bought it the decal was stolen. I don't know if decal is the right word- you know what I mean, the little metal insignia on the rear or front.
Walk through any parking lot in Israel and you'll see lots of stolen bits off cars.
On a related note, in the Blues Brothers, there is tape covering the soda brand names in a cafe. Taking the "L" off the Land Rover must have something to do with not wanting to be "advertising a product"
