Is there a fighting/boxing movie out there...

where the main character's wife or girlfriend doesn't at some point throw a fit about how she doesn't want him to fight anymore, she doesn't want to see him get injured, blah blah, and refuses to come to watch him fight (and then usually does 'surprisingly' show up for the final fight, and the guy sees her in the crowd and it's such an ~inspiring~ moment)?

It's such a ridiculous cliche. And it's in everrrry fighting movie, I swear. Correct me if I'm wrong. Just once can there be a movie where the wife/gf actually supports her significant others' pursuits for the entirety of the movie?

As far as the movie in general, I found it a little boring and predictable. It definitely didn't move me to tears or anything even close. There are other fight movies that do get me a little choked up (Warrior, for instance). But this one was just 'eh' to me.
