Was that one of the shortest films ever?
1Hour and 15mins, even Disney cartoons manage more than that!
Decent enough action film, but only border line feature length surely, i'm glad i borrowed it instead of buying it.

I LOVE The Rock, but this movie wa so damn short. I went to se it opening night with a group of friends, and when it ended, the whole row behind me let loose with cries of "That's it?" It was rushed There's more plot in a damn Lifetime movie.
Champagne for my real friends. Real pain for my sham friends.
Modesty Blaise: The Beginning is also about 1H 15min.
shareThis film was rather short and made shorter by the constant use of slow motion, various stripper scenes, and lack of any real character development. I think that more could have been done with this film, but why force a film to be longer than it has to be. Not that I thought this was the worst movie ever though... but it could have been improved on a lot.
shareYes, but you know, I was cool with that. For a film like this, I'd rather see it too short than padded to two or two and a half hours with a lot of pseudo-deep filler. We know what we need to: the town's been messed up, the Rock comes to set things straight, there are a lot of fight scenes, he gets a cute girl, and his muscles are on display while he beats the bad guys. I do agree that more could have been done with it, though it would have been an entirely different movie. As it is, I kind of appreciate the pared-down storyline.
shareThere was a lot more to this film, but it got cut from the final film due to the fact they wanted to keep it PG-13 so more of The Rocks younger fans could see this movie.
shareDarkness Falls was like 1 hour and 5 minutes if you dont count the credits at the end. Now that is waaay too short.
shareIt was pretty short, yeah, but I didn't have a problem with that.
"Finish your sentence!" -- Inspector Li Ying
I think many of the episodes in the film were predictable and not developed. There was very little surprise, suspense, or character development.
shareI thought so too. I mean it didn't help that I had just watched Schindler's List the Day before and Fiddler on the Roof directly before two three hour long movies.
Same thing we do every night try to take over the world
This movie was to the point and had great action sequences with no annoying filler that everyone would have otherwise complained about since everyone has to complain about something because negative opinions mean you're smart!
