Anyone else wish they'd stuck to the real story?
I've seen the original and that story was much better than what they spun out for the remake.

They could have done a lot better job with the changes if they had bothered. What they did here was so implausible, they lost me (and it's not because I can't suspend disbelief for movies, I enjoy science fiction and fantasy). Action fans seem to be satisfied with the movie as it is; I like plenty of action films, but I'd have been happier watching this one with the sound off.
