Secretly enjoyed the movie, but Johnny Knoxville....

The Rock was good. Hate to admit it, but he was likeable and a strong lead and the film played out well. Just Johnny Knoxville was a bit jarring, over-acting his part unnecessarily I thought. A shame!

(I say 'secretly enjoyed'. Of course, I've posted that I enjoyed it, so it's not much of a secret, is it?!)

Really ? I thought he was actually good. Just a bit of comic relief and a likable character.

In fact I posted that before I got to the end of the movie. Knoxville is a good comedic actor but out of place in any kind of dramatic role.

THe movie also isn't much of a story and a sequence of set pieces - I kept wanting the story to flesh out a bit more.
