I was re-watching this movie a week or 2 ago and I noticed that when
you look at the vehicles license plates they all say Washington even
though it was based off of events from Tennessee. This kinda annoyed me
because if you were to not know anything about it beforehand you would
most likely think it happened in Washington instead of Tennessee. Other
than that I liked the movie.
I never watched it all that closely to note where this particular version is supposed to be set. It was only inspired by the real story so the state doesn't matter. Since it is filmed in and around Vancouver, BC, it's likely meant to be WA stae.

shareThis is a remake of the original "Walking Tall" about a real life person named Buford Pusser. This movie's character is named Chris Vaughn so although it's a similar story, it's not meant to be biographical or taking place in Tennessee.
