explain this effing film to me.

the first one was so much better. i understood everything going on. it just made sense.

this one, the way they spoke to each other all seemed code which was SO annoying. and even when they weren't speaking code they all talk so fast and none of it seemed to add up to me. like the french thief was the one who got them to germany...but i thought rusty went there because of his ex? he made a signal to one of the other guys after saying lets go to Amsterdam like shh dont give me shi* about it or whatever. then it turns out it wasn't that? or was it both? wtf?

then the first job, that was ridiculous. he had in possession already some antique document. that one of them asked something like how much do we get for those and he said 2.5 million they say its not enough they say well if we do this itll get us other jobs. none of that made sense to me. neither did them elevating the home even though the french dude left a recording saying they werent the only ones to make it to the safe. how did others get in if they didnt elevate the house?

at the end of the first one the two goonies for benedict follow his car when he leaves prison. but then in this one 5 years later they find them all. so were they not thinking of making a sequel? what was the point of them following them? did they just get away or something? that was dumb if they were going to end up finding them in the second one.

why do they keep saying "so and so made yen and danny" the word "made" what? does that mean CAUGHT? red flagged? they say this so many times and make like they are in trouble yet they arent and are still in the plan to get the egg at that point.

and that whole dumbass scene with matsuai speaking in code? and matt damon said something from a sonnett and that ended up being an insult to mat's niece? i just thought that was dumb not funny. it made absolutely no sense. why all the code talk in this one? they had some in the first but at least it was understandable. and why did Isabel make him cry when she interrogated him? i know he was hired by someone by someone yadda yadda. yet another thing i didn't fully grasp. my volume was also super low when steaming this and it wasn't streaming well, it was sort of grainy and this may be a huge part of why a lot of this got past me. but still a lot of it was just the film.

and did they actually go to jail which wasnt part of the plan or was Isabel in on it somehow? was going to jail part of the rouse anyway?

i just find this one so be so convoluted and i watched it and still can't make sense of so much of it which sucks because i loved the first one.

so can anyone just briefly summarize all this to me?? im not a stupid person and this film made me feel retarded. are we not supposed to pay attention to details in this one because thats certainly how it felt. they are all just talking away in code super fast bringing up this and that and mixing all these plot lines together and i was like seriously wtf is going on?????????

Watch a better quality version with good quality sound system or head phones and you'll be able to answer all those questions easily. Our wasn't the films fault because I'm not a genius but every one of the things you raised will be obvious on the second viewing.

the movie is intentionally smug on so many levels...they intentionally wrote like that....you aren't supposed to understand the names of the cons like crazy larry, hell in a handbasket etc...lets go one by one..

Rusty takes them to Amsterdam, it was his own decision...the Knight fox has contacts all over Europe, one of them is Matsui who is in Amsterdam, so he uses him to bait them into stealing the document..

The recording is from the Knight Fox, and in that he says "you aren't the first to crack the safe," meaning he (not they) cracked it hours before them...and here we should just believe that he cracked it somehow, coz he's the Best thief in the world and he can even do stuff like the laser dance...so the Van Der Voude safe is just a piece of cake for him..and he already knew the security code of the house...we're supposed to accept that he is THAT good and he did it some other way without elevating the building...

Ocean and Rusty knew that the two goonies following them at the end of the first film...Ocean asks something like, which car to Rusty when he comes out of the jail...they wud've just easily lost them and vanished later, considering that is their profession...and Benedict only finds them because the Knight Fox gave him their addresses coz he wanted them under pressure...Benedict could never have found Ocean's 11 on his own...

yes...'made' mean saw, noticed or something like that...so the police cud easily get a sketch of what Danny and Yen look like.. and eventually they do...

The Matsui scene is just a fake to prank Linus (Matt Damon)...when Linus comes to Rusty asking to be a leader he and Danny wanted to have some fun with him and as his mom later says...Matsui likes to play games with first timers...so they all act as if they understood all the *beep* they were saying...and they say Linus said horrible things when he was actully saying Beatles lyrics...the scene is just for fun... no apparent reason..

and no we aren't supposed to know what Isabel said to Matsui...maybe she said she knew about the Knight Fox's involvement with him...or she couldve had some dirt on him..

everything was part of the plan except Isabel faking the papers.... including going to jail....they knew they were gonna get caught...just to throw Toulour off balance till the challenge ends...
