The scene where Herb cuts the final player is one of the best

That's my favorite scene in the movie. Both actors convey greatly how Herb hated having to cut him and how the player was devasted, but understood that's how it works. And I love Herb's, "Thanks for giving me your very best". It shows that's truly what Herb wanted, and even though he couldn't keep the player just based on his hard work, he respected him for giving it his all.

I agree. Fantastic performances from both actors. I also think it’s nice that his efforts ended up being immortalized on film, even though he did not make the team.

Movie’s second best scene.
I liked that line also.
