HISTORY IS A LIE MUTUALLY AGREED UPON

To the stalwart and doggedly loyal defenders of George Hearst's "moral fiber" that have previously posted on here,(one of which resorted to labelling me and my family as lowlifes),lets address one simple, proveable fact..The Fort Laramie Treaty of 1868 awarded this entire region to the Sioux peoples "For as long as the grass grows and the rivers flow"..or until white men saw a chance to make a fortune. Early American history was written by white men,for white men and with one single purpose..The further expansion of the white race on this continent. Greed, deceit and racial hatred pushed us westward, and worthless treaty after worthless treaty paved the way. Powerful men made fortunes by whatever means necessary, and immoral acts were committed if not by their hand then with their blessing. Two weeks ago was the 125th anniversary of The Wounded Knee Massacre where the remnants of the 7th Cavalry murdered as many as 300 men, women, and children of the Lakota who were gathered there in the process of surrendering. At least twenty soldiers were awarded the Congressional Medal Of Honor for their brave service there. This was at least 14 years after Hearst began his morally righteous plunder of the sacred Paha Sapa. The fact is, when the Lakota looked out over this land, they saw God. When the white man looked, he saw money..Guess it all depends on your definition of "moral fiber". Thanks.

I agree more than you know. Really!
But... if this makes you feel any better (and it won't) the greedy and corrupt do it to their own kind just as successfully.
The history I was taught, turns out, was just plain BS... Columbus... Hitler's suicide, JFK... oh, it goes on and on and on. Turns out, Fox Mulder was right... "The truth is out there", but not in history books.
"The victors invariably write history to their advantage". And ya know, Victorian era stuff was passed as fact just because of delicate sensibilities (oh... and whites must always be right... and win... and ______).
