Is this show addicting?
Is this show really addicting like Breaking Bad or The Sopranos or Game of Thrones...that real addicting quality that makes shows so binge worthy. The Wire is a great show but it isn't an addictive show imo
shareI don't think it's as addicting as Breaking Bad (nothing is) but it's excellent, and IMHO it's the kind of show you will watch more than once. I didn't bingewatch it because it is just so intense mentally - it's not something like Lost or Justified (which I did bingewatch this year).

You have it right, it's so unique compared to most popular shows. It's more of a show you need to savour and really pay attention to in order to get the most out of it.
You can't really roll through it like a zombie and binge. Takes some intelligence and attention. Best parts are the underlying tones and quotes which sometimes you don't quite get until you think about it for a few seconds then you say to yourself, "ohhh *beep*
Pffft. "Intelligence". What an obtuse and pretentious tactic to defend boring drivel. This is entertainment we're discussing, not academics or medicine.
