Watching Deadwood for first time as we speak

I finally decided to give Deadwood a try after so many years and I've been really enjoying it a lot. Currently in third season, about to start episode 6 so I have seven episodes left. Anyway that is all, I'll update once I have finished. I have been watching at a rate of about a week per season. Everything from the acting to the sets/costumes to the story and the characters are all top-notch and the dialogue is often above and beyond anything I've ever seen in television. I have been avoiding this board though the entire time I've been watching as to not see any spoilers but I do know that it sort of ends abruptly/without a proper end. Oh and Ian Mcshane was totally on last week's Game of Thrones which was extra awesome to have that happen right in the middle of my first Deadwood viewing :) [GoT is my favorite show btw] welp, back to more Deadwood

-No, Donny, these men are nihilists, theres nothing to be afraid of.

Ya not much more to say. Finished last week some time by the way. Really enjoyed the series, took me long enough to get around to it. Didn't really mind the ending so much. George Hearst left the town at least. Each season had a pretty satisfying ending in it's own right from what I recall. I get that the series could have had an overall more fully satisfying ending but anyway, I like to think of it as some moments from a time and a place and thats it...just one solid block of time in the lawless town of nineteenth century Deadwood :)

I would like to have seen more seasons, but at the same time, I'm happy we have just 3 seasons of unforgettable television. A show that went out in its prime. So there is no talk of 'the way it went down hill in season 5-6...' 3 seasons of gold.

I'm re-watching as I type. We're up to the trial of McCall.

I'm binge watching it now post election just to avoid watching network TV.

Really good series. Done quite well. Ended too soon.
