Big wastte of time

I saw this the other day on TV and have to say it was a big waste of time.

Nice seeing "Iron Man" and "Storm" in the same film but really the plot was so stupid.

Can't believe nobody would know that cop had those big ass tattoos all over him if he'd lived in that town all his life. He'd have been bownd to have to take his shirt off once in a while right?

For a smart woman Halle's character was incredibly stupid. How could she marry a guy and not know he was a killer? I think you'd notice little things in their behavior if they were the type of sadistic person that would do what he did.

And don't even get me started on the alleged super natural aspects of the film which are completely retarded. I was thinking it was going to be a serious psychological drama and then we get some teenage ghost on fire? Pleeeze

The only thing that could have saved this was lots of shots of Halle topless (and maybe in the theatrical version she was but on tv of course anything like that was cut or re-edited)...maybe in the pool scenes.

I thought that too. Kind of hard to hide all those tats when you're just shy of being the Illustrated Man.

I completely agree too! But I think all of Halle Berry's movies are overrated as well as her acting abilities. She is stunningly beautiful but that is all she has going for herself...her acting is sub par, to say the least.

1. We don't know how long the Sheriff had had the tattoo, and it doesn't matter who else was aware of it because it was revealed only to Miranda as something to look for. Pete could've researched it for Miranda but he brushed it off until nearly the end of the movie.

2. The movie showed us that Miranda overrationalized things in her profession, so it's not hard to believe that Miranda would make excuses for any oddities she saw in her husband. Besides, she was more interested in starting an affair with Pete.

3. The Anima Sola or "teenage ghost on fire" lends more structure and literary edge to the narrative.
