Papa Was a Rolling Stone (VERY MINOR SPOILERS)
Do you think there was some significance to this song being the one that came on when Miranda's car was at the edge of the sinkhole? If so, what do you think it was?

Usually, when there's a character out of place with a british accent in a hollywood film, that's the killer. It was misdirection on the writer's part to try to get us to think the bad guy was her boss.
Then, the song the ghost of this guy's daughter decided to play. "Papa was a rolling stone" pretty well cemented it in my mind that the bad guy, as usual, is the minor character with the british accent. Misdirection Part II.
When the killer turned out not to be Rachel's dad, I commended the film for not being predictable and formulaic. I don't give this film high marks for clarity, though. (Did Doug actually die? If so where is he, if not, who killed him? And at which points were what we saw on screen reality and which fantasy?)
The song had nothing to do with the central case, it was just there in the script as misdirection.
Spock! Form an away team! You, me, Bones, Scotty and umm... Ensign Smith!
LOL!!! It was a very funny scene.
