Penelope's performance

who else thought that Penelope's performance in this movie was pretty convincing...i couldn't help but think that she really did a good job..she really looked psychotic in this movie

She's always great.

Why has everyone suddenly started putting a 'spoiler' as their signature?

I thought it was great, she really blew me away.

Penelope's was the only performance here that really convinced me. Robert Downey Jr. seemed bored with his role, and Halle Berry overacted as usual, but Penelope seemed to think she was in a much better film. And I appreciate the fact that it was fairly unglamorous look for her.

does anyone know why penelope was in the mental institution?

i know she was telling people that she got raped by the devil, but that was after she was in the institution. So why was she committed in the first place?

And if she's really sane (which we're lead to believe since she's free in the last scene), why didn't she just say she was raped by a security guard? why the devil talk?

thanks,

thanks!

She was on psychotropic medication, really powerful stuff that changes the way you see and perceive reality, plus she probably had issues in the first place.
