Why is Stella arrested?
When her husband discovers her, she is in the police cells in East London. For what crime? Infidelity is not against the law.
shareI haven't seen this film for a while, but I think she is arrested because she knew where Edgar was (who has absconded from the hospital) and didn't tell the authorities. Edgar was a criminal and not safe to be out in public.
