Did anyone else notice that all the red banners say "Crossloads" and not "crossroads"? They appear in the scene where Haru is about to meet Muta. It doesn't affect the story, but I thought it was funny.

shareIt's actually both. There is no differentiation, but depending on the word or the person saying it, sometimes you will hear a distinct 'l' sound. You won't hear Japanese people pronounce an 'r' as roundly as an American or English 'r', but it is slightly trilled, a little like Spanish, Italian, or even (at a stretch) Scottish.
Anyway, as they're not differentiation, they're often interchanged accidentally when attempting to speak other languages.
If you watch the Japanese version of "Lupin III: Castle of Cagliostro", you think they say "Lupin" but it is actually spelt "Rupan", like the Japanese title.

On the first one it says "Crossroad" but on the second it says "Crossload". Goof, perhaps?
