I could recognise the voice of the King's advisor in the english dub, but I could never find out who it was, because he was never credited as 'the king's advisor'... and I don't think he's ever named in the film. According to this, however, it's Rene Auberjonois! How about that! :D
shareI am embarrassed to say I missed recognizing Tim Curry. I did, however, score a major personal triuumph by identifying Cary Elwes -- I'd only seen him in about three other movies, though of course I have seen "Princess Bride" about eighteen times.

Tim Curry is very hard to spot in this, in fact almost impossible if you didn't know he was in it.
Cary Elwes in full Princess Bride mode is far easier though, especially if you've seen the Princess Bride many times (and lets face it, who hasn't LOL)
