I recently bought this movie and absolutely loved it.
I was wondering if there was anywhere that sold merchandise of characters from this film.
I'd love cute plushes of Muta and Natoru. Or a figurine of Baron.
If there's none available in the US, is there an online store that would sell them imported from japan?

I think you're out of luck. You can get some Ghibli merchandise--mostly Totoro-related stuff--from an online vendor (http://www.jlist.com). There was no Neko-related merchandise, however (other than the Region 2 DVD).
There are plenty of Neko-related items, such as keychains of Muta and the Baron available at 'Donguri Kyouwakoku' (Acorn Republic) stores in Japan, but their website (http://www.benelic.com/donguri) stopped selling the goods directly. It doesn't make any difference, though, because they never shipped out of Japan anyway.

shareThe merchandise is available in Japan. Of the Ghibli merchandise vendors I have found over there on the internet, none of them ship out of Japan. However, I think it's more a coincidence than a conspiracy. There's gotta be someone out there someplace.
