Most Touching Part

I saw the film last night, and I was impressed, even though Mr. Miyazaki did not have a hand in the process.

It is a cute movie with a good moral at hand. It teaches that even though sometimes are acts of kindness seem insignificant sometimes, they may go a long way in the long-run, and that it changes both the giver and the receiver.

The part that touched me most was where Haru has a flashback when she was a young girl coming home from school and eating those fish snacks.

Then a poor dirty kitten follows her and Haru gives her the fish snacks, and she meows in happiness. From there, her act of kindness, even though at the time seemed just like a one time ordeal, will have a new destiny for that kitten...

So definitely, we can learn in our daily lives to strive to be kind to other people, despite the fact that sometimes kindness seems insignificant in a society today where people are becoming more mistrustful of one another.

It is a cute film about cats, I bet anyone with a cat who saw this movie will not look at their cats the same.

That's easy...I agree with you, especially the latter part when we find out who Yuki really was. I tear up EVERY TIME I see that.

I would say the whole yuki story is very touching.. when she finds out yuki was the cat she fed that day...

Yeah the Yuki thing was touching. Haru's a nice guy, she saved both Haru and the prince. If it weren't for her helping them, they could've died.

Just saw the movie, and just like the part in "Spirited Away" where Chihiro reveals Haku's name, I cracked such a huge smile that I almost cried too. I love both movies even though this one's far simpler.

I love the music at the end credits. When I saw the DVD extras it showed you the full version of the song including translation and the lyrics that went along with the song had a kind of uplifting quality to it I can't explain because it seemed to really fit the whole mood of the film. Cary Elwes as the Baron was really cool he's such a proper English gent. :o)

I like the moment in the beginning when she got hit by a ball. It made her cute immediately!

i thought this was the weakest movie of all the ghibli movies, it lacked the character depth, story etc.but still it was alright. 6.7/10
cant think of anything clever to write

The very end is the most touching for me. When Haru is talking with her friend and you can see how much she has grown up since she doesn't really care that that guy she liked had broken up with his girlfriend. Then they walk past Muta who's sitting on that chair at the crossroads, obviously waiting to see if Haru needs any help. She walks past him, he opens one eye and yawns then just wanders off in true Muta fashion. Love it.
