Best line in the whole movie.... also i have a question (spoiler kinda)

Whats the point of living if i can't be beautiful? Lol I laughed so hard at this part. i thought it was funny :(

WHAT MADE HOWL EAT SOMETHING THAT FLEW FROM THE SKY AND IS GLOWING?!?! lol

reply

Actually my favorite line was ''A heart is a heavy burden'' which Sophie says to Howl near the end of the movie.

Not every gift is a blessing

Yes, indeed... That was funny, he was such an EMO then...

reply

My favorite was when Sophie was going to see Madame Sullivan, and she was wondering how Howl was going to follow her. She saw a some birds and said that can't be him because he's too flamboyant. Then she saw a girl on one of the flying things above and said that's probably him.

reply

Totally agree with that! :)

As much as I love the movie, I don't really know it well enough to have a best line...

But I think I can help with your question: in the book, Calcifer was a falling star, and Howl ate him because he felt sorry for him, because falling stars die once they fall to earth, and Howl didn't want Calcifer to die :)

reply

Sophie: They say that the best blaze burns brightest, when circumstances are at their worst.

Calcifer: Yeah, but nobody really believes that.

reply

I wouldn't say Howls 'ate' Calcifer as much as swallowed him in order to give him his heart as a way to survive.

I don't have a favorite line but i did laugh at the scene where Howl went all Emo because Sophie messed around with his bath potions and he went nuts haha.

My favourite was when Sophie first meets Turnip head and goes "Go find a field and stand in it!" :D

reply

I laughed at that line too, because he is a guy and guys don't call themselves 'beautiful'. lol

We all live in suspense from day to day; you are the hero of your own story.

May all your bacon burn!

reply

Yes! This was my favorite. I laughed so hard at that.

The point of the Howl's vanity line is most likely to show how youthful and vain he is.

It's notable that after this point, he never goes back to his blonde hair. This is the first step in him maturing. The next is actually taking responsibility, and soon actually becoming more caring and protective of others.

Best. Line. Ever.

i agree with all of you guys. i think the beautiful line was about the problem with appearances, a long interesting subject in almost every story.
i loved the cunning line as well :)

reply

Agreed. I LOVE that scene!
