Final Cut vs Ultimate Cut

I'm wondering if anyone can describe the differences between the 2007 'Final Cut' and the 2014 'Ultimate Cut' please?

I'm a massive fan of 'Alexander' and Oliver Stone. I love the 2007 cut and was curious what changes the 2014 edition makes and if anyone considers it an improvement.

the 2007 cut basically threw the entire can of film into the movie, made it an extra 40 minutes or so and changed the story progression significantly

the 2014 cut was much shorter in an attempt to make it more succinct, but my feeling is that of the 4 cuts available, the 2007 is the best by far

Theatrical Version 2004 : ca. 175 min. (168 min. PAL)
Director's Cut 2005: ca. 167 min.
Final Cut 2007: ca. 214 min.

theres a unbelievably detailed explanation of the first 3 cuts here

it's a great movie that has been unfairly maligned by homophobes and people that think they know the history involved and people who expected it to be a documentary instead of a historical drama
