Hitler and Geli scene

Near the middle of the movie, there's this scene when Hitler retires to the country with Geli, where she falls off a bike, and Hitler leads her to a field of long dried grass (?), and then asks her to run around again and again through the grass. Hitler seems to derive enjoyment from this, and Geli distress (to the point of being in tears).

What is Geli supposed to be doing, and why is Hitler enjoying himself? Is there a deeper significance to that scene? I'm confused.

I think that the scene implies that while no actual sexual relations took place, Hitler took a sexual thrill from commanding her as though she were his lover. His irrational requests were part of his dominating personality; it was simply enough that others obey, in part to prove their loyalty, in part for Hitler to feel in command. Hitler had no 'normal' factors in his development as an adult- no formal higher education, no wife, no girlfriend, no children, no steady career. Is it any wonder why his sexual life should be so weird?

I'd agree with ckc-11 that that was the intention of the director for that scene. But I have never read that in any historical account so I doubt such a scene ever occured in real life, and it would seem to be pure ''director's license.'' There are no actual facts regarding Hitler's ''intimate'' life recorded anywhere at all. Only suppositions. But it is a fact that Hilter's long-time mistress, Eva Braun, did actually become his wife shortly before their suicides in Berlin in April 1945.

Hitler was a freak in this, I almost couldn't jack off while watching this movie.

Actually if you notice the music in the background it's Wagner--Hitler loved 'pure' German music and he's seeing her I think as a perfect 'nordic' maiden, pure and desirable. He's conducting faintly, seeing her as an artistic image. At the same time you realize he's lusting after her, longing for her, and she's getting scared. It's a chilling scene.

Is that seriously all you can think of typing???
