Hitler came out prison in December 1924 right before Xmas day and paid a visit to the Hanfstaengl's around that time with a gift. You notice that same evening that their ill daughter looked like 5 (more like a 7-8 year old to me) but I won't argue.
Later on when she dies, you could read on her grave: April 1924 - xxx 1929.
So back to December 1924, the film maker was supposed to show a baby in the crib.
