Shame on emmys for ignoring the miniseries and Carlyle

Thank god for someone who created a piece on HITLER which is not anti- hitler propaganda (like the BBC miniseries) but an attempt to understand one of the most remarkable person that existed.

We have hitler as he is without much bias. He is passionate, charming, man of faith, intelligent, smart, possessive, cunning, cruel, prejudiced, violent. A man who is simply unbreakable no matter what fate will toss at him. How many such kind of strong willed people we have in world? No wonder Winston Churchill admired this man so much even though he was a despicable enemy.

Robert Carlyle is the best hitler yet ever seen on screen. When he speaks, adolf hitler comes to life.

In drama, suspense, action this miniseries is way way better than most blockbuster Hollywood movies. Other character artists are excellent.

Direction is excellent. Not a single dull moment. There are some historical inaccuracies but not much serious.

Shame on emmys for ignoring the miniseries and Carlyle. If director had made a series praising a US president, he would have collected awards in sacks. Nothing but anti-hitler mindset in emmys.

There was so many things that they changed/altered that they tried to twist to pin point the reason for why he became the way he did that it was unreal.

It was rather refreshing to see a showing of what Hitler was like before he got into power, and just why he seemed to have the control over people that he did, but you can not change facts and history, so there is no point try to paint Hitler into something he wasn't.

I do not know if they intentionally set out to do this, but it failed to get it across.

Downfall does a better job... does not try to hide the fact he was a monster, but unlike other forms of medium which makes him borderline Batman/Superman villain, they paint him out that though a monster, he was still human (Downfall you really start to think "what a shame", then suddenly think "wait a minute.... this is Hitler!"

Hm, I think it was far not good enough for an Emmy. Its first part is solid, but the second one not so strong by the narrative and by many inaccuracies.
