I wish this movie was more popular than it was. For all the SFX and blue screen it still had more character than many other contemporary Sci-Fi films, plus it was DieselPunk which seems to have fallen off the radar.

Kevin Conran's book The Art of Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow will be released on October 30, 2018: pre-order at Amazon now!

September 17, 2020!

As we celebrate the 16th anniversary of the opening day of this magnificent movie, I'm sure the question has arisen, "What happened to that art book you were talking about 2 years ago?"

It's a valid question, as there has been a veritable plethora of promised release dates, postponements, cancellations, and re-scheduling. The current answer to the question is that the book will ship to those who have already ordered (such as myself, natch) on October 13, 2020. When I finally have my copy in my hands, I will start a new thread and let everybody know what they have to look forward to!

After literally 5 years of delays, postponements, and re-scheduling, Kevin Conran's Sky Captain and the Art of Tomorrow book has at last been released! I've been told my copy is in the mail and on its way, and when I'm finally able to review it, I will start a new thread and hope to stir up some serious interest! If we can't have a sequel/prequel, at least we've got this!
