If you still haven't watched the film, dont go on reading this post.

I guess i have this syndrom where after watching many movies, a cell in my mind just chooses to forget several of them.
I remembered 'A Very Long Engagement' this morning, and sadly couldnt get back the way it ended.

If someone could please describe the ending for me, the last scene or two scenes would do.

Oh and does any of you know if Jeunet is preparing something for us soon?

Well, basically Mathilde finds out that Maneche was saved after being shot by the German plane, and the soldier who saved him gave him a new identity of another young, dead soldier. That soldiers mum was told her son was recovered, and though she knew Maneche wasn't really her son, she took care of him. He develops amnesia, so he thinks she is his mother. Mathilde finds Maneche painting in his mothers garden, so they are reunited.
