it seems like hell doing what the family does. every day is the same for them too. but they actually remember. Why keep up the stagnant charade? At least Sandler's character tried to help and got her some memory tapes or whatever. At the very least... if that was my brother... I would mess with him 3/7 days ;).

They did what they thought was best out of love for her. In reality, the memory clinic would have had her keeping the journal and using other memory aids before she even left the facility.
