For those who loved the bus scene

My Italian teacher found this on Youtube. We watch it constantly. It's the full bus scene, where Stefi and Andrea randomly start singing. Enjoy!

I fell in love witht his movie. All the scenes, the cast, the secenary was just right up my alley. I rank this up there with Muriel's Wedding. Every scene relates to me just the same (more or less). And yes the bus scene had me gasping and smiling so much that I think I disturbed the viewers next to me lol. Great scene!

Yahoo: Answers gave me this, and the person who posted it was a native Italian. It's basically all about how men are more attractive when they smoke:

Con me tu puoi - with me you can
Fumare la tua pipa quando vuoi - smoke your pipe when you like
Perchè mi piaci molto di più - because I like you much more
E sei così romantico - and you are so romantic

Fumo blu, fumo blu - blue smoke, blue smoke
Una nuvola e dentro tu - a cloud an you inside
E poi, e poi se un uomo sa di fumo - and besides, and besides if a man smells of smoke
Ma sì ma sì è veramente un uomo - yes, yes, he is really a man
E ti amerò finchè vorrai - and I'll love you untill you will want
proprio perchè sei così - exactly because you are like this

Ta ra ta ta ta ta - ta ra ra ta ta
Un uomo (è un uomo) - a man (is a man)
Quando sa (di fumo) - When he smells (of smoke)
ra ta ta
Un uomo (è un uomo) - a man (is a man)
Quando sa (di fumo) - When he smells (of smoke)
E un bacio vale dieci dato da te - and a kiss counts ten coming from you

Lo so non sei un divo - I know you are not a movie star
nè un artista nè l'eroe del west - nor an artist neither the wild west hero
Ma quando fumi - but when you smoke
c'è in te un che di irresistibile - you are irresistible

Fumo blu, fumo blu - blue smoke, blue smoke
Una nuvola e dentro tu - a cloud and you inside
E poi e poi se un uomo sa di fumo - and besides, and besides if a man smells of smoke
Ma sì ma sì è veramente un uomo - yes, yes, he is really a man
E io ti amerò finchè vorrai - and I'll love you untill you'll want
proprio perchè sei così - exactly beacause you are like this

Ta ra ta ta ta ta - ta ra ra ta ta
Un uomo (è un uomo) - a man (is a man)
Quando sa (di fumo) - when he smells (of smoke)
ra ta ta
Un uomo (è un uomo) - a man (is a man)
Quando sa (di fumo) - when he smells (of smoke)
E un bacio vale dieci dato da te - and a kiss count ten coming from you

What is the name of the song actually?

reply

Ta Ra Ta Ta by Mina

There's video of Mina performing the song on YouTube from the 60s. It's pretty cool

So I should pick up smoking for when I go to europe.:) I need to learn Italian on my own. Took a college course and it was just too hard.

Marty: Romeo and Juliet, the dyslexic version.

Stick with it!!! I took two years and then a few classes that were like culture classes taught in Italian. Such a fun language. You will feel overwhelmed but stick in there.

And yeah the video of Mina performing this from 1967 or whatever it is is awesome.

Can't keep me off this escalator!
