cool movie

i just saw the movie, even though it came out 4 years ago, i really liked it, i dont speak italian so i had to read the whole movie, but it didnt bother me. i think meggie was supposed to be abit annoying most 14 year olds are. i thought the acting was great and greece looked pretty.

I saw this on Sundance and it had subtitles. The only thing that bothered me was the subtitles were in white lettering and a lot of the background in this film is so bright..it was a tad hard to read at some parts. I had to strain to see.Other than that I loved the film.(I wish subtitled films would have darker or yellow lettering or have a dark box with white lettering...makes things so much easier to read.)

Man, I really loved it! An aunt who reminded me so much of Woody Allen and Meggie, the most exuberant teenage girl ever. Great writing and a director who understands how to work the material kept me laughing almost non-stop.

Fortunately, my DVD had yellow subtitles. Very easy to read.

I like absurd comedy. And the girl being annoying was part of that. It was the point of the film that she and the aunt were annoying (as the aunt admitted).
The humor comes from how silly the women could be.

Too bad this movie was not more successful.

BB ;-)

it's just in my opinion - imo -
