This kid got sent to jail because:
A. He was a friggen weirdo
B. He was so stereotypically jewish. The accent, the strange behavior. Talking like a "person from looooong island" and being a wackjob isn't the same as being a child molester. This poor weirdo jew got beetched slapped. It is a sad, sad episode in "justice" in the american courst system.
The jury was of Long Islanders - don't you think they were Jewish and/or had Long Island accents.

shareWho said it was mostly Jewish? The county in which this happened has more than a 15% Jewish population - which is considerable (one of the highest in the country). The original poster was given the impression that he was screwed because of his religion and/or his accent. My point was if there was a trial the odds are that the jury would have at least a Jewish juror and many would have Long Island accents. There is no evidence he was screwed because of his religion and/or accent in a place with a large population of people that are Jewish and/or have accents. You can't or at least shouldn't assume he was screwed because of his religion and/or accent when there is no proof or evidence or reason.
