READ: Official Report 2013: Jesse Friedman is a guilty sex offender

Director Andrew Jarecki is a manipulator!

He ignored evidence and deceived the public to help a pedophile friend of his:
The convicted child rapist Jesse Friedman.
This is not ethical or responsible behavior.

Here is the official 155-page report from July 2013 written by Nassau County district attorney, Kathleen M. Rice and approved by an independent commitee:

Conclusion:

By any impartial analysis, the reinvestigation process prompted by Jesse Friedman, his advocates and the Second Circuit, has only increased confidence in the integrity of Jesse Friedman’s guilty plea and adjudication as a sex offender.

The district attorney strongly criticised Andrew Jarecki's misleading and highly selective film.

Jarecki preferred not to cooperate with the district attorney and the commitee
and didn't show them all the footage and materials that he claimed where further proof for Jesse Friedman's 'innocence'.

Jarecki seemingly deceived not only the audiences and the public for over 10 years, but also the authorities only to increase the marketing value for his manipulative 'courtroom drama' masked as documentary.

Andrew Jarecki did a great service to pedophiles everywhere, a disservice to victims of child abuse and might have damaged the credibility of the whole documentary community.

It doesn't come as a big surprise that the Nassau County DA's office finds no fault with their own actions. But every outside, independent investigation of the case has found serious deficiencies and faults that surely raise reasonable doubt as to guilt. As regards the 2013 Nassau County report, Barry Schek of the Innocence Project, who was hired to oversee it, said that he does not believe an adequate re-examination was done. Meanwhile, the only adult witness and five of the child witnesses have recanted their testimony. There is much more to this story yet to come.

I found this recent (Feb. 2015) New York Times article informative:

I'll start by citing to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit, which found that the prosecution consisted of "a toxic brew of aggressive interview tactics, a hostile judge, junk science and tabloid coverage that sent the Great Neck community into a “moral panic.” (Judge Edward R. Korman also found the evidence against Jesse Friedman “extraordinarily suspect,” giving rise to “serious issues as to [his] guilt.” See, Friedman v. Rehal, 618 F.3d 142.

In addition, I would also point to this article, where Barry Schek of the Innocence Project, who oversaw the 2013 Nassau County DA's investigation into its own conduct, raises serious doubts about that report and points out that the DA's office is still refusing to turn over its files for examination, as they should under best practices:

Also, the only person outside the Nassau County district attorney’s office to have seen the full 17,000-page file in the Friedman case — a state trial judge named F. Dana Winslow - in 2013, after reviewing the file along with new pieces of evidence, ordered prosecutors to turn over “every piece of paper” generated in the case against Mr. Friedman, with a handful of names redacted.

That has still not happened. See, http://www.nytimes.com/2015/02/09/opinion/after-a-guilty-plea-a-prison-term-and-a-movie-a-sex-abuse-case-returns.html?_r=0

I think everyone besides some of the creepers on this board already realized that.

Also, I think this little tidbit might just mean he is insane

In prison, the report said, Friedman was disciplined twice - once for possessing a torn photograph of two prepubescent girls, one of whom was naked, that he'd ripped out of a magazine, and the second time for "writing and distributing 'fictional' stories that described violent and disturbing sexual acts, including incest, bestiality and child rape."

"The lawsuit said the psychiatric report was prepared by "a novice psychologist" and contained unsubstantiated allegations. In court last August, Nassau prosecutors acknowledged that prison officials had acquitted Friedman of possessing pornography."

Arnold was probably innocent. Jesse was for sure innocent.

This whole case was a travesty.
