So The Bar Is Real, What Else ?

Most of the locations in the film are the actual locations that Aileen visited. I grew up in the town that alot of the filming took place in and most of the places haven't changed much since Aileen was living here. I drive by the Last Resort all the time, it is right up the road, Ive still yet to stop in but Im dying to go. They only used the Last Resort for the exterior shots, the interior shots were filmed at another bar in the area (used to go there for kereoke several times a week) The motel is real as well. From what I understand she lived a pretty nomadic existence and moved around alot, but the one main one shown in the movie is still there. Ive driven by it many times but I think they have changed the name. I also lived in a house as a child that was down the street from one she had lived in back in the 80s or thereabouts.
