A possibility

I just finished reading 9 pages of the topic below about why the show was cancelled. I'm sure many of you are right, and I think the most mature way to look at it is that there is probably more than one reason as to why the show was cancelled. I don't know from any sort of special confirmation that Disney has a 65-episode limit, and I don't know of a solid reason as to why the show was cancelled, but I can logically conclude and give my own opinion, much like everyone else did.

Phil of the Future was a great show. Phil's character was very endearing and I thought it was a great way for children, and adults alike, to learn that even though you come from a different place, you should strive to make friends and find people you can love and trust. Keely's character was a great way to show us that you can be smart AND popular. She was also a great example of someone who was intelligent, but whose future goals were to be something she loved and not just something based on her intelligence. Pim's character, though a bully and a skeptic, showed us that everyone has a heart, even when we don't think they do. I also loved her great comedic timing. I could go on and on about all the characters of the show, but we could be here reading this all day. = )

The point is that once you're tuned into the show, you realize how wonderful it is and how much deeper these characters actually were if you watched them. I personally did not even want to give the show a chance in the beginning, and I think that may be what a lot of people did. At the time, I was very happy with That's so Raven, mainly being that I love Raven Symone. I grew up watching her from the Cosby Show until now. At the time when Phil of the Future first started, That's so Raven was still funny, and because I had been watching it from the beginning, I was attached to the characters, much like everyone else is with other shows [i.e. Friends]. When you watch a show from the beginning, you relate to the characters and you love watching them grow and change. Even when the show seems to be going downhill, you still watch it because you've made it a part of your life. I'm sure many fans of That's so Raven and other popular shows at the time didn't give Phil of the Future a chance like they should have, and hence the ratings weren't as great. Also, Phil of the Future had a more mature side to it, and generally the crowd that watches Disney is much younger and therefore may not have followed it well and disliked it.

We can argue for days [or even nine pages worth = )] about why the show was cancelled, or we can come together and reminisce about how great it was, and also do proactive things like either trying to save the show or fighting for it to be on DVD and for them to make a movie. Many of you voiced opinions about loving the show, and I'm sure you can, if you haven't already, bring your love and support into saving it because the more people we have banded together, the bigger the possibility of it coming back.

I'm sorry this was so long. I love the show as much as you all do, and I wanted everyone to know that.

She WAS in school. Not in general, though, I mean...her character is played up like the ditzy blonde, but she did do well in school. This makes her "smart". She sometimes needed help from Phil, but for the most part, she did well on her own. Phil was just [obviously = )] smarter.

Yea, I never realized it but I think people may have written off the show before it even started. Because now that I think about it I remember seeing the previews and thinking this show looks so stupid but when I actually saw it I loved it! I really wish the show never went off and I really wish there was a movie! I think they could at least wrap up the show better with a movie.
