Ending
My daughter and I both hate how this ended. Is there any more talk of a wrap up movie?

I don't know, i hope so. the ending did stink.
I agree about the ending. It should have been MUCH more toucing, being that this was the very last moment that Phil and Keely would be together. It was sort of sweet with the salt and pepper shakers and all, but I would have prefered a very moving ending, sort of along the lines of Elliot hugging E.T. Maybe not that dramatic because it is still a kids show and all, I just think the whole Phil and Keely relationship deserved a little more.
shareyeah that ending was ridiculous!! they gotta wrap it up, and i think the diffy's should come back & stay =]
shareI think they at least need a wrap up movie. I think in this movie they should resolve the conflict of Phil not being with Keely. I mean they had this big relationship and it ended up just teasing us because all that happens is they kiss at the end. No happily ever after, no point to all this teasing about them getting together. What they should do is find a way where Keely and Phil can get together permanently. Like a couple ideas is that Phil will find a way around that rule of time travel preventing them from coming, and Phil goes back in time years later to the time where Keely becomes eighteen. And despite some complications (i.e. she has a scummy boyfriend to get around), Phil takes her to the future where they live happily ever after. Another idea would be to make a sort of paradox out of it. Like in the movie you get introduced to one of Phil's distant cousins. What you find out however is that it's not really one of his distant cousins it is actually one of his grandchildren because he and Keely were meant to be together and they had kids together.

I always hated this show but I'm sad that it ended.
Finding major flaws in everyone you ever met...is a skill.
there making a phil of the future movie thats gonna be realesed sometime in 2008 most likely october
shareI think a movie would be a good idea and I liked the idea of it being a couple years and then Phil goes back. Like maybe in the future Phil tries to like forget or move past Keely and tries other relationships. Like maybe he's dating some girl that everyone think's is perfect for him and then inside he's still like in love with Keely and can't stop thinking about her so he goes back to the past. I don't know if it would be realistic for Keely to just completely move to the future though. Maybe if she took her parents with her. Or if Phil decided to go to the past and stay. Or if the entire Diffy's decided they should stay in the past. lol I don't know but I feel like PoTF needs a proper ending.
shareI found the ending to sad to be a proper ending so i think there should be a movie
shareI thought the deal was they were planning on making a third season or at least a wrap-up movie when they wrote & filmed the final episode, but it ended up being too expensive and not worth it when Disney Channel's cheaper shows did just as well in ratings.
But yeah, I did hear that they'd already started filming the movie, so maybe it will be released in 2008. Though I also heard it would be released in 2006, so I don't believe in too many rumors about movie release dates...

Wow this board/ thread is dead...I'm breathing some life into it...but yeah...the ending of POTF was pretty abrupt...I'd really love for them to at least film a movie just to wrap up everything...and nothing more...however if Disney does decide to bring back POTF for another season (granted the movie is successful) I'm all for it...if not...the movie had better cover all the bases...
It was a lie when they smiled and said you won't feel a thing...
thats what i heard too..they were planning on filming a third season and thats why they ended it how they did, but then it got cancelled. they must have had some sort of inkling that it would be cancelled if they ended the 2nd season that way.
i also heard that when Raviv was offered the role in Driftwood, Disney told him that if he took the part, they were going to cancel POTF. i think he wants to become a respected actor and not be classified as phil diffy for the rest of his life..and thats exactly whats happening right now
i do know for a fact that there is no movie in the works right now and unfortunatly, i don't think there ever will be. Raviv has moved on to more mature dramatic roles, Aly's music career is huge right now and she probably has more acting gigs in the works too
as much as i know we'd all love for the show to continue, it probably will never happen. too much time has passed at this point...the show was made for younger kids who have probably already forgotten about the show. Three new series have premiered on Disney Channel since phil was ending, theres no way of them bringing it back now..especially since it seems like all of the newer shows are doing better than POTF did anyway :(
the least they could do is release it on DVD for us though
they should make a movie
sharethey almost wrapped it up and ended it like the show was a burden or something and they didn't care about it anymore. It was depressing, I loved this show!
