shareAccording to the creator Doug Tuber, Phil and Keely were always meant to be together.
In the final episode they became a couple, diffys found out they were going back, phil went to say goodbye, they kissed, they promised they would wait for each other, then they turned around for curtis, ended on a cliff hanger.
Doug and Tim were hired to write a finale movie, which they did, but disney decided not to produce it.
sometimes one has just got to hate disney or what? :/
