What happened to the character? Did the actress quit or was the character written out? I'm curious because her sub-plots with Pim were the only parts of the show I enjoyed. Anyone know the reason for the character's unexpected disappearance after the first season?
shareI don't think it has ever been stated. Debbie was honestly my favorite character on the show, but now that I think about it Season 1 had a set of supporting characters, and then Season 2 had an entirely new set of recurring characters that kind of changed the feel of the show, so I just thought Debbie was a casualty, as well as the teacher played by Suzanne Krull (who was hilarious).
shareAgreed. She was the only part of the show that I liked. I loved when she got the better of Pim. Was always rooting for her. When she left, the show died.
shareI also liked Debbie Berwick. Curiously, I thought her surname was Berkowitz and half expected Pim to call her "perkowitz".
