Annette Bening and Faye Dunaway

Did anyone else think Annette Bening looked like Faye Dunaway in this movie?

I didn't think of Dunaway at all, but oddly enough, during those last shots of Bening in the restaurant, I thought of Bette Davis, and that we can add Bening to the list of actresses who could conceivably play Davis in a biopic.

"In my case, self-absorption is completely justified."

Wow, great minds think alike, I guess! Because I certainly did (think of Faye Dunaway while watching the movie).

The odd thing is though, usually I think about how beautiful Annette Bening is. But this time, I just thought how strange she looks in those 1930s hairdos. She really is a woman not cut out for that. She looks better in short haircuts from the 90s -- like she had in AMERICAN BEAUTY or AMERICAN PRESIDENT. In movies where she has other hairstyles, I think she looks strange -- with the exception of Valmont.

Anyway yes, when I was watching Annette Bening with both hairdos, it reminded me of a Dunaway in Chinatown.

Please excuse typos/funny wording; I use speech-recognition that doesn't always recognize!

Maybe, but only in the parts when Bening was intentionally over acting.
