Miyamoto vs. Neo

At the 'Equilibrium' board, way back, there was a "Preston vs. Neo" thread. Most everyone agreed that, as long as they were not fighting in the matrix, Preston would have cleaned the floor with Neo. Even though I totally hate how this, Equilibrium, and other slightly similar sci-fi action films are compared with The Matrix (which I will just say right now, I simply do not like at all) I can't help but wonder who thinks who would win in a fight. Just for the sake of argument (like there isn't enough of that here already). So...in the real world, not in the matrix where Neo can cheat, who do you think would win in a fight? Miyamoto or Neo?
Personally, I say Miyamoto all the way. I confess, this could be because I'm a little bit biased. I didn't see the Matrix until late 2003 or early 2004 because I never had that much interest in it, and I still don't understand what the big deal is. I loved Equilibrium and even Returner a lot more than The Matrix. And Takeshi Kaneshiro just rules. Anyway, enough rambling. Back to original question. Miyamoto or Neo?

reply

Miyamoto hands down, cause he's one hell of a gunslinger...and he's more Japanese.

reply

lol...yes he is more Japanese. Can't argue with that.

reply

...and he's more Japanese.

How is that an advantage?
Unless this contest is getting used underwear in vending machines and treating women like dirt.

anyway, how is neo better than anyone else in the real world? in the real world he doesn't have strength, speed, co-ordination. he's never practiced! he's only been using his body for a few years. his only advantage is his downloaded knowledge, his use of the matrix is a disadvantage as it will give him overconfidence in his real world abilities, his body won't be able to keep up with what he wants to do.

Well, let's get to the nitty gritty: NEO's just a rip off from the black mask anyway, so it really should be Miyamoto vs. Michael(jet li's character in the black mask), and then it's about an even match, if Miyamoto has the speed up toy. Otherwise, Michael would use him for target practice. And on a lighter note, Miyamoto is better suited to the look: the black shades, the long black duster...oh hell, takeshi kaneshiro is about 50 times better looking than keanu reeves period.

Personally, i'd declare Miyamoto the winner any day. Neo's like a rookie compared to him! Also, Takeshi Kaneshiro manages to portray his heroic character in a very realistically gritty and confident manner, not too over-the-top like Keanu's Neo. But even if he did not have all these going for him, my vote will still be for Miyamoto becoz Takeshi is seriously juz too yummy for words.

reply

Miyamoto, because Takeshi Kaneshiro is in the Onimusha series. Huh? What do you mean that statement has no relevance to the movie? Totally like...whatever.

reply

Forget Neo, forget Miyamoto. There is no one like Kenshin the "Hitoriki Batosai".
THE MANSLAYER. :)
