there are parts of it that look animated. I think the end, when the spaceship is coming towards that platform thing looks animated. Also when Milly kinda fades back to the future. I guess its because they can't catch spaceships and disappearances on camera, so its animated or CGI... It looks really realistic either way.

Its not animated. The cover is drawn, which is why I havent bought the DVD.

The acting is kinda "anime"-ish, in the way where they overexaggerate their emotions whenever they're speaking or staring at something.
Stuff like this reminds me of "Movie Poop Shoot.com" from Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back.
