I've always been a fan of baseball since it game on channel 5 in the UK but recently I have found myself becoming a huge fan. I plan to get the states asap to go watch some games.
I really enjoyed this film and that "perfect catch" film was pretty decent as was the one with Billy Bob Thornton in (name escapes me, remake of an old film I believe). Just wondering if there are any other good baseball movies out there. Thanks
Major League (the original, not the sequels) is the best baseball movie ever made. Field of Dreams is also a classic, but it's less baseball-oriented than Major League.

Bull Durham is the best baseball movie. Major League is good, as is Eight Men Out, the Natural, A League Of Their Own, the original Bad News Bears, 61*...

There are a lot of baseball movies, I don't know if they are good or if you would like them, I might reccoomend a baseball movie, and then you will watch it, and might hate it. Disney released a re-make of Angels in the Outfield in 1994, and that same year we saw another movie called Little Big League, and the year before that was Rookie of the Year. In the late 1980's, Field of Dreams, Bull Durham, and Major League, the last 2 movies are rated R by the way.

But there was a good Disney movie starring Dennis Quaid called The Rookie about a 30-something guy who was good at baseball but never got a chance until his high school team dare him to go to open tryouts for a major league team. Based on a true story. Check it out.

Major League is a baseball comedy, a funny one. Bull Durham hasn't been mentioned. It's a great baseball movie. Field of Dreams and The Natural are as well. A totally SICK baseball horror comedy is Japan's "Battlefield Baseball". Insanity! I own it. :) Finally, I'll leave you with "League of Their Own". It's women playing baseball, but a great baseball movie anyway. :)

Now Rick I'm gonna be straight with you, there's only 2 things I know in this life, and that's how to cook a friggin mean steak, and good baseball movies. Now if you're looking for the whole package, you're gonna want to rent coach carter. My advise to you is give the wife $15 and send her to the roller rink, strap the kids down in their rooms, and grab the dog for a cuddle sesh on the chesterfield. This movie will have you in tears one minute, and clutching your sides with laughter the next! Excellent film brother, can't go wrong, ryan Reynolds really knocks this one out of the park (get it, I made a baseball reference!)
