What did Chanel's mom do for a living?

So Galeria's mom was a fashion designer but they didn't mention what Chanel's mom did.. was she like a model or something? Or was she just rich? It's not super important but I just watched this for the first time in years and I was wondering this lol.

Man it's crazy how time flies.. I was in 6th grade when this came out. I had the soundtrack and everything lol.

They never say, but she's obviously loaded. All those shopping trips must add up. Then again, it seems like she always out on dates, the newest being her future husband, maybe she's an escort?

I assumed she was a model or former model because in one scene when Chanel walks through the apartment, theres a big picture of the mom on the wall like a model
