I don't care if she won the Academy Award for her performance, it was so grating listening to her over the top accent/portrayal. Makes repeat viewings a chore.

Well, she was playing Katherine Hepburn who was pretty annoying.

I love me some Cate Blanchett, but her accent in this made me cringe with secondhand embarrassment. Same with Leo's.

AS A HEPBURN FAN...I THOUGHT BLANCHETT WAS PRETTY DEAD ON.

Hepburn was annoying, particularly her voice. Blanchett did a good job recreating the annoyingness.

I came to write the very same thing! even if Hepburn sounded exactly like that, she still felt out of place in this film. Overacting, over exaggerating. Every time she was on screen was grating to the nerves.
